In short: this website sets no cookies and loads nothing from other companies. We count visits with our own privacy-friendly analytics, which can't identify you. If you email us, we keep your message so we can reply. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Who we are
This website is run by Information Security and Management Company, LLC ("ISMC", "we"). For anything to do with privacy, email fala@ismc.com.
Website analytics
We use Umami, an open-source analytics tool that we run on our own server (stats.ismc.com). It doesn't use cookies or any other storage on your device, and it doesn't collect personal information. It records, for each page view:
- the page you visited and the site that referred you, if any;
- your browser, operating system, device type, screen size and language;
- your approximate location (country and region), worked out from your IP address. Umami does not store the IP address itself.
We use these numbers only to see which pages and guides are useful. They are not shared with anyone, and they are not used for advertising.
Server logs
Like almost every website, our web server keeps short technical logs of requests, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting. These logs are overwritten automatically as new ones are written, and are not used for any other purpose.
When you email us
If you contact us by email, we keep your message and address so we can reply and keep a record of our work together. Our email runs on our own mail server. We don't add you to any mailing list, and we don't share your details.
Links shared on social media
Links we post on social media carry tags such as utm_source=facebook, so our analytics can tell which platform a visit came from. They identify the platform, not you.
Our Facebook Page and Facebook app
We publish posts to our own Facebook Page using a Facebook app ("ISMC Postiz"). The app is used only by ISMC to post to our Page. It does not collect, receive or store information about people who view, like or comment on our posts. If you interact with our Page on Facebook, Meta's own privacy policy applies to what Facebook collects.
Deleting your data
To ask us to delete information we hold about you, such as your emails with us, email fala@ismc.com with the subject "Delete my data", from the address you want removed. We'll delete it within 30 days and confirm by email, except where we must keep a record by law, for example invoices.
Our Facebook app stores no data about Facebook users, so there is nothing to delete there. If you have ever connected the app to your own Facebook account, you can remove it under Facebook Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites.
You can also ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, in the same way.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date below.
